The genius of intuition

Linus Pauling was not a man of one idea. He was interested in many things. The day before yesterday, he argued that the molecules are three-dimensional, and discovered nature of sickle cell anemia. Yesterday, he invented devices for submarines and divined the structure of the alpha-helix protein molecules. Today, he fought against nuclear tests, shaking the opinion of the great powers. And the next day, sensing the approach of old age, the great scientist turned around: how to support his forces? And found it!

"I had no intention to seriously engage with vitamins, I was only interested in my health and what vitamins can help me", - so he wrote, later devoting nearly a third of his life to the full tireless study of vitamins and their effects on health and prolonging human life, proving with all the passion his innocence in constant bitter disputes with the die-hard doctors and nutritionists of the old school.

Pauling discovered for America and the world vitamin C, which overdoses can be daunting set of ailments. Pauling believed: using biological additives, we can live a hundred years and more. His main method in science was intuition, and all his guesses later necessarily confirmed, although initially caused disbelief and fierce opposition. He was absolutely convinced that dietary supplements prolong life, helping healthy not getting sick, and sick - get better.

This was Linus Pauling - one in twenty of the best minds of humanity, the only winner in the history of two personal Nobel Prizes, honorary doctor of over 40 universities in the world and laureate of the Gold Medal Lomonosov of the USSR Academy of Sciences - a man ahead of his time and changed the lives of millions.

Continuing the conversation about vitamin C, I would like to highlight a problem that, statistically, is one of the first places among causes of death of people worldwide. This is a cardiovascular disease. Stenocardia and atherosclerosis is the scourge of the elderly, but not just the elderly. Like all the "diseases of civilization", heart disease is rapidly younger. It is acknowledged by all cardiologists. Treatment of cardiovascular disease developed in all stages until the surgery, but I think everyone recognizes that if you are a "core" is a long time.

I would like to quote here the opinion of advanced physicians about today's methods of treatment and some data about results of the using of vitamin C for this purpose. The impression is that conventional medicine is still looking at vitamin C, like a stuck pig, and further of "Fervex" and "HotRem" erudition of many experts in this regard does not extend. Of course, to chop off something (for example, a foot of diabetic) is much simpler than the cure that was not formally treated, the more so because own hanging boss is a figure far more real than some abstract Nobel laureate...

So, here is the opinion of Dr. Whitaker (Whitaker Wellness Institute):

Heart surgery

"... The industry of cardiac surgery is a fraud."
Julian Whitaker, MD

Industry of cardiac surgery is really booming. According to the American Association of heart disease in 1995 was carried 1,460,000 angiograms (a diagnostic procedure that starts the whole carousel) with an average cost of this procedure 10,880 dollars. The result was 573,000 bypass operations cost 44,820 dollars each and 419,000 operations of angioplasty (surgery to inflate a balloon, which expands the artery) worth 20,370 dollars each. The total cost of these operations for the year totaled more than $ 50 billion.

Millions of people to whom it was said that to save their lives it requires immediate surgery, in fact, were 98.4 of a hundred chance of surviving without the operation! (According to a study of CASE published in "The New England Journal of Medicine" in 1983.)

Total cost of vascular surgery operations is tens of billions of dollars

There is no any scientific justification for the use of angiography, balloon angioplasty and bypass surgery in treating most cases of cardiovascular diseases. A good example is angioplasty, in which to remove the blockade used inflatable balloon mounted on the end of the catheter. I believe that no one has never been and never will be grounds for this procedure. It is dangerous, and argued for its necessity in the highest degree doubtful.

If you compare it with non-surgical methods of treatment, it appears that the state patients who had undergone angioplasty is worse. They have a higher mortality, higher frequency of heart attacks and generally more often a need to re-operation. In my opinion, this procedure is always unjustified, expensive and dangerous gimmick that became universally accepted method of treatment because doctors think only about their own interests, but not about the interests of patients.

Several researches made in the last 20 years, involving over 6000 patients with heart disease showed that health of patients, "drawn into the funnel" of surgical procedures, is much worse than the health of patients who underwent non-invasive treatment. Under the non-invasive treatment I mean the use of drugs (not diet), exercise, and complex vitamin supplements, use of which can be very beneficial.

Bypass surgery may be helpful for some patients, but it should not be used as a standard method of treatment, and certainly not suitable for patients recovering from a mild heart attack. Much more effective are medication and dietary treatments, as well as a change of lifestyle.

The only thing you can say for sure about these procedures, except their value is that they kill people. About one of 25 patients undergoing bypass surgery, and approximately one of 65 had undergone angioplasty patients die as a result of this procedure. To be honest, if we had tied the hands of all performing bypass surgery and catheter-balloon angioplasty surgeons and locked them in a closet, we are for one year would save 30,000 lives and would save more than $ 50 billion.
