Minerals are needed to man as involved in the construction of cells and tissues, the activity of enzyme systems.

There are two groups of minerals: macro-elements (or minerals) and trace elements (or microelements). Daily demand in macroelements (sodium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, iron), measured in milligrams or even grams, but trace elements, which include copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium, nickel, iodine, fluorine, silicon, etc., the need is for tens or hundreds of times less.

In human's body, there are many calcium salts. Calcium plays an important role in metabolism, contributes to the maintenance of normal excitability of nerve and muscle tissue. The lack of calcium leads to brittle bones; after fractures, callus formed poorly.

Calcium salts are found in many foods such as cereals, vegetables, dairy products. Rate of calcium for an adult is 800-1000 mg per day. Increased calcium intake is necessary for women after 40 years.

Magnesium, which is contained in bones and other tissues of the body, plays an important role in many metabolic processes. Sharing of its salts correlated with the exchange of phosphorus and calcium. Calcium is absorbed most efficiently in relation to magnesium of 2:1.

Potassium is important for the normal functioning of the cardiovascular system, as it enhances urination. In the body, the ratio of potassium to calcium and magnesium should be 2:2:1.

Body's need for iron, it would seem, is small and amounts to about 15 mg per day, but iron compounds are an essential part of many body tissues. For example, red blood cells (erythrocytes) contain a significant amount of iron. It is also part of certain enzymes. Lack of iron in the diet can lead to anemia.

The microelement copper is involved in the construction of a number of enzymes, affects the processes of intestinal absorption of iron and thus the formation of hemoglobin. Its deficiencies are rare, but it must include a quality multivitamin and mineral complexes to ensure the necessary balance of minerals.

Zinc, which is concentrated in the body mainly in the skeletal system, skin, hair, participates in the work of many enzymes. In humans, zinc deficiency is a very common phenomenon, it leads to slower growth, sexual maturation, loss of taste, reduced sense of smell.

The microelement manganese is needed for normal growth, the functioning of cartilage and bone tissues, the synthesis of proteins. It participates in the regulation of carbohydrate and fat metabolism, promotes formation of insulin - the hormone of the pancreas. It is noted that the manganese content is reduced in the blood and tissues of patients with diabetes.

The microelement chromium has an impact on carbohydrate metabolism, assimilation of glucose and its level in the blood. The intake of insulin contributes to the enhanced removal of chromium from the body. That is why chromium deficiency is frequently observed in diabetic patients receiving insulin.

Iodine is necessary for the formation of thyroxine - the thyroid hormone. It is noticed that iodine influences on the reduction of cholesterol in the blood. Not surprisingly, therefore, that iodine has long been considered one of the most effective means of contributing to the prevention of atherosclerosis.

Selenium is an essential component of antioxidant protection of human. Its deficiency is very common, especially among men. The first, selenium deficiency affects the work of the cardiovascular system.

Molybdenum is incorporated into the complex Power Mins to compensate for the excess salt in food. Moreover, deficiency of molybdenum compounded by the frequent stressful situations. At deficiency of molybdenum risk of developing esophageal cancer increases.

The composition of the mineral complex Power Mins balanced to best assimilation. Minerals and trace elements contained in it in the chelate form, which ensures their bioavailability.

Recommended dosage: children since 6 years - 1 tablet, adults - 2 x 1 tablet daily.
